Streamer Amouranth accuses YouTube of trying to get rid of her by banning her main channel and at least one other profile - despite no policy violations.
Since September 7, Amouranth's main profile has been unavailable. A day or two before that, the page was unavailable to her streaming fans when the channel was suddenly deactivated. Attempting to load Amouranth's YouTube page now results in a 404 error saying "This page is not available".
Amouranth: Main Channel Banned Without Warning
Although Amouranth has been banned from various streaming platforms before, she feels particularly mistreated this time. Her YouTube channel, with over a million subscribers and more than 159 million video views, has been banned for no apparent reason. “Hey YouTube,” the streamer wrote on X (formerly Twitter) after discovering her uploads were banned, "You deleted my main YT channel @amouranth. It suddenly got removed without warning. There were no strikes or infractions.... What’s next you gonna take out my gmail and search thereby forcing me to use bing?"
Like Twitch, YouTube does not give specific reasons for the ban. The YouTube team has not yet responded to Amouranth's public message. The unexpected ban comes just days after her ASMR channel was banned at the end of August, with Amouranth informed that the channel had been removed for sexual content. It's unclear if there's any connection between the two bans.HEY @TeamYouTube You deleted my main YT channel @amouranth It suddenly got removed without warning. There were no strikes or infractions. You also at the same name (in the same notice email) deleted my personal YouTube channel that I don't make content on - it just has a...

One possible reason could be YouTube's terms of service: The platform reserves the right to ban accounts if it suspects they're trying to bypass a previous ban. It's possible that the system flagged Amouranth's main account as a circumvention after her ASMR channel was banned - which Amouranth said she "didn't regret". Perhaps her view has changed now that several of her YouTube pages have disappeared.
