In a recent blog post, Call of Duty devs laid out their anti-cheat plans for Black Ops 6. They aim to have cheaters banned within just one hour!
With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 now here (we're loving it so far), fans are keen for Activision to stay on top of cheating as much as possible. It will be twice as important when ranked is released, but even before then, no one wants to run into a cheat, no matter how casual the game is.
Thankfully, the devs at Activision have laid out a very promising anti-cheat plan. We will need to wait until they've actually started rolling out the bans to applaud them, but for the first time in a while we're confident.
Activision announce ambitious new anti-cheat plans
Call of Duty recently put out a blog post in which they set themselves a goal for catching and banning cheaters in Black Ops 6; the aim is to have offenders banned within one hour of using cheats:
Here is the goal we’re targeting: we want to catch and remove cheaters within one hour of them being in their first match.
If this could be achieved, it would be completely unprecedented in the history of CoD. Luckily, they have new tech on their side to help them meet that anti-cheat target:
What our team has been working on for the future is a suite of tools that use AI to find and fight cheaters.
They don't go into any exact details (which makes sense; keep the cheat providers guessing), but they promise to provide regular update reports. We can't wait to see how this will play out.
Will you be grinding Black Ops 6 when it launches? And do you have faith in the devs to keep cheaters at bay?
