Now it's official! Dragon Ball: Sparking! will feature 182 characters, which is 16 more than originally announced.
Based on marketing material we were shown pre-release, it looked like the new Dragon Ball game was set to feature 164 characters, but the physical box suggests we can expect even more!
Update: Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Officially Confirms 182 Character Roster
In a recent live stream, Bandai Namco revealed the last character missing from the roster. They first revealed the missing character from the 164 slots in their beehive-like Broly (Z) and his forms, plus other characters known from the franchise.
After that, they expanded the beehive, and it turned out that the villains from the movie, like Cooler, Lord Slug, and Turles, will also be joining the roster.
This means the base game will have 182 characters, and they also revealed that with the upcoming three DLC's, more than 20 characters will join the fight.
So we can be sure that no character from the franchise will be missed in the game.
How Many Gokus Will We Get?
Bandai Namco had been slowly revealing the base roster of Dragon Ball: Sparking! And based on what they had shown, we assumed we were "only" getting 164 characters.
However, a recent leak of the game's box suggests we will actually get over 180 characters.

But who will it be? Maybe 30+ forms of Goku and Vegeta? Or maybe they will add some characters from the new series Dragon Ball Daima, which would make sense, given the game and series will be released on the same day, October 11, 2024.

Hopefully the characters won't all play the same, but from what we've seen so far, we aren't concerned; the game looks great.
Are you excited for October 11? We definitely are.
