Epic Games is shaking things up in Fortnite Reload with some exciting new updates. From dynamic map rotations to the introduction of a competitive Ranked Mode, players are in for a thrilling ride!
Fortnite Reload is getting a ranked mode as well as a new map.
Fortnite Reload's Next Map
Fortnite Reload, which features a smaller map inspired by Chapter 1, is now set to get a new map.

While we don’t know exactly what the new map will look like, there’s a lot of speculation that it might be based on Chapter 2, especially with the upcoming OG season bringing back elements from that chapter.
The recently released teaser for the new Rubius Icon skin also gives us hints at two well-known locations that will probably be included in the new map. In this teaser we see the Fishstick skin running around in the town of Sweaty Sands with the main building of Craggy Cliffs in the background.
Reload Gets Ranked
Another big update is the introduction of a Ranked Mode in Fortnite Reload. After many weeks of speculation, the wait is now finally over and Epic Games announced that the Ranked mode is already set to start today, similar to the existing ranked modes in Fortnite: Battle Royale and Zero Build. This new competitive mode will allow players to rank up and potentially earn money and prizes.

Fans reactions
While the anticipation among many players is very high, some players also see a Ranked mode in Fortnite Reload as critical after the bad experiences they have had with the Reload Cash Cups that are already running.
Many also fear that Epic Games will now focus primarily on the development of the Reload mode after the success among the “casuals”, which could probably even end in a Reload FNCS. This would be an absolute nightmare for players in the competitive scene, as there is already a lot of criticism among pros regarding skill-based matchmaking, too many cheaters and general features of the Reload mode that are simply not made for the competitive scene.
What do you think of the two changes? Are you a fan, or don't you even care about the Reload mode and would rather play normal Battle Royale? Let us know in the comments!
