Minecraft is all about building everything you ever wanted, even your own theme park with working rollercoasters and other attractions. And now, the game will get two real life theme parks.

With a live action movie and a Netflix animated series on the way, it seems to be a busy year for Minecraft already. But according to The Guardian, there is even more to come for fans of the survival-sandbox hit.

Mojang, the developer of Minecraft, is teaming up with Merlin Entertainment to open two theme parks based on the game, including rides, hotel rooms and shops. Partner Merlin Entertainment is the operator of existing parks and attractions like Legoland, Sea Life and Madame Tussaud’s and is planning to open the Minecraft theme parks in the UK and US in 2026 and 2027.

Both parks won’t be a complete location all on their own but part of an already existing theme park or city center attraction and Merlin will invest up to $110 million for the attractions.

Mojang and Merlin also mentioned to have plans for further parks in other countries.

Would you like to visit one of the Minecraft theme parks? Do you have any ideas what the attractions in it could be?
