YouTuber Rosanna Pansino found mold inside the influencer-backed product, Lunchly, and after posting it online, hundreds of other consumers came forward to share similar experiences.
YouTuber Rosanna Pansino found mold in a pack of Lunchly she opened during a video – now the company has responded.
Lunchly is a cooperation between the YouTube stars MrBeast, Logan Paul and KSI, who joined forces in September of this year to create Lunchly, promoted as a healthier competitor to Lunchables. A Lunchly box features a Prime energy drink and a Feastable chocolate bar – both products of said YouTubers – in addition to the "main course" of crackers and cheese.
Being a long-time outspoken critic of MrBeast, Pansino got a lot of comments, claiming that she faked the mold, so she released an uncut version of the video in which she opens a Lunchly Kit with an expiration date being two months out:
Had a lot of #MrBeast fans spread the lie that I was faking the moldy @Lunchly vid and would never post the full clip with no cuts.Well, here you go.I'm sure they will still not believe this is real, but maybe the dozens of other videos online showing moldy mozzarella cheese... pic.twitter.com/u7cRvXy6Ia

I’m sure they will still not believe this is real, but maybe the dozens of other videos online showing moldy mozzarella cheese in Luchly’s will convince them. Again, please be careful eating these if you have them.
Even though neither MrBeast, Logan Paul nor KSI have responded to Pansino directly, Lunchly itself contacted The NY Post, assuring consumers that their products are all reviewed in compliance with the USDA before being shipped:
All Lunchly products go through a stringent review process to ensure quality and safety. That process consists of multiple inspections and approvals, including that of the USDA, before any product can even leave the manufacturing facility.
Clearly they don't want to admit fault, but even so, that's a deeply unsatisfying response.
What are your thoughts on the product? Have you tried a Lunchly?
