2007 Spring Break Mess in the EEP rooms:

A message from Rich: "We discovered after Finals that the students left their cubby area in a truly unbelievable mess, even more so than ever before. We took pictures of the disaster available for your review and, possibly shame, to post on the EEP Club http://www.eepclub.org/ and PEEP websites. As known and widely posted EEP policy, every student must clean out their cubby and the cubby area of all personal property at the end of every quarter, usually by the Friday of Finals Week. While the EEP, unfortunately, has a long history of student non-compliance in terms of cleaning up after themselves as well as leaving much too much in their cubby locker area, this break period we discovered the level of discarded personal property was wildly excessive even for our historically messy teens. Piles of clothing including jackets, hats, and shoes were left scattered throughout the cubby space. In addition, even though EEP/school policy clearly states that all personally assigned lockers and storage space provided must be cleaned out completely at the end of each term and all items left will be discarded, the majority of EEP cubbies were packed with belongings as of Monday after Finals Week or March 19th, and that included cookware, Tupperware, old food, flatware, ice chests, books, papers, calculators, envelopes with cash meant for HOC(!!), ipods, and every manner of writing utensil -- all were found left abandoned. Although students certainly have the right to throw away/discard their property they should do so in proper waste receptacles."
