I was excited to jump into Tri Force Heroes, but then I realized it was only for the 3DS, not the DS I had. That wasn't a dealbreaker, but what was, was the heavy focus on multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, the co-op gameplay looked really well done, but for someone who enjoys playing solo like me, it felt a bit limiting. The single-player mode just wasn't as engaging as the multiplayer seemed to be. Overall, while the multiplayer looked fun, the lack of a truly fleshed-out single-player experience left me feeling like I might be missing out. It's a shame, because the potential was definitely there. | © Nintendo
Saving Hyrule is never easy for Link, and this time around, on the Nintendo DS, it seems the adventure involves more than just mastering a new weapon. He's become a train conductor! While the idea of exploring Hyrule by rail is intriguing, the truth is the journey is filled with tedious side quests that feel more like chores than heroic deeds. Sure, being able to team up with Zelda is a nice touch, but overall, this adventure didn't quite capture the magic of past Zelda games for me. | © Nintendo
The part is visually unique design and has its own charm. And now you have 4 Links under your control. Either alone or in multiplayer. Very big Plus: you could play together with GameCube and Game Boy Advanced! | © Nintendo
Adventure of Link is generally not a bad game. But the random enemy encounters are very irritating and without a game guide it is incredibly difficult to progress. Zelda 2 is still one of the hardest games in the series. Even if the old pixels awaken nostalgia. | © Nintendo
A game that you only control with the DS touchpad can't really be good. But the story of Link fighting for the time in a parallel world had potential. It definitely doesn't measure up to other Zelda titles. | © Nintendo
The foundation of an entire empire. Zelda now has a fanbase all over the world. Nevertheless, it unfortunately seems rather clunky and dull today. Even gamers who played and loved it back in the days are often disappointed today. Times and especially gaming habits have simply changed. Nevertheless, it will always remain a masterpiece! | © Nintendo
In 2001, Pokémon Feeling entered the Zelda franchise. The editions could be played independently of each other. In the Oracle games, you can change the seasons, ride a kangaroo, and use magnetic gloves to overcome obstacles. Incredible! | © Nintendo
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was the exclusive Zelda for the Game Boy Advance and continued the trend of giving Link a talking piece of equipment. The hat shrunk him down to ant size, which was cool for dungeons. It's a cute and unique idea that definitely deserves its place in the series, but it is also often forgotten. | © Nintendo
The sequel to Link to the Past was an absolute surprise hit. It came with a completely new item system. Unfortunately, this game structure makes the puzzles quite easy to solve. But still, Link Between Worlds is a very clever and entertaining Zelda. | © Nintendo
The Skyloft setting was a new location, allowing Link to take to the skies with a red bird, and the story serves as a prequel to Ocarina of Time for the entire series. The best Zelda games didn't lay a new foundation, but continued their predecessors' legacy in a worthy manner. | © Nintendo
In Link's Awakening, we can freely equip our items and trade items with the NPCs for the first time. In 2019, the classic game was re-released in an incredibly cute version. A great opportunity to catch up on the really very good Zelda, if you haven't played it, yet! | © Nintendo

It's crazy, it's gritty, and it leaves an impression forever. The timer adds a completely new dimension to the gameplay. Even with a few years' distance, you can say that Majora's Mask is a very good game. | © Nintendo
Echoes of Wisdom is one of my personal favorites of the last few years. It brings the same Zelda magic as the Link's Awakening remake and is an honorable successor to Tears of the Kingdom. Echoes of Wisdom is very much like the open world, sandbox freedom we know from Tears of the Kingdom. With the twist of playing as Zelda, you solve puzzles with echoes of monsters fighting for you, beds, stones and anything else you can find in Hyrule. | © Nintendo
The game moves away from the fairy tale and faces Link with a much bigger and dangerous challenge. Transformed into a wolf, Link must survive the Shadow Realm in Twilight Princess. A very dark adventure! | © Nintendo
The design, the music, the story - together, this certainly makes Wind Waker one of the best games even beyond the genre. Granted, sometimes the gameplay is a bit stretched and some of the dungeons somehow seem unfinished. Still, it's simply impossible not to fall in love with this Zelda. | © Nintendo
In the sequel to Breath of the Wild, the malevolent forces of darkness loom over the kingdom of Hyrule, and Ganondorf has returned. The world around you may have changed, but that just means there are new secrets and discoveries waiting for you as you explore. Tears of the Kingdom is without question a masterpiece – its only weakness compared to its predecessor is that the largely unchanged open world doesn't manage to impress us as excessively for a second time.
Being the first Zelda with voice-overs and also with a technical finesse, Breath of the Wild knows how to convince especially with the scope of the game world. There are countless secrets to discover. BotW triggers an incredible urge to explore and a feeling of freedom in you that rarely a game manages. | © Nintendo
Ocarina of Time is the crème del a crème of Zelda games. OoT set new standards and revolutionized the concept of "open world". Even though this Zelda can't be as impressive today as it was in 1998, it still offers a lot of fun and nostalgia factor. | © Nintendo
